Marie Daâge
Marie Daage, one of the most renowned figures in the history of Limoges porcelain, advises, "The table is a reflection of who you are. Dress it tastefully as you would yourself and create an environment that invites you to dine!". She began hand-painting on Limoges porcelain in 1990 after being born in Austria, brought up in the French West Indies, and schooled at the School of the Louvre. She rapidly began working with artisan painters from the Limoges region as a result of her ingenuity and appreciation for a traditional skill.
Marie Daage has developed into a significant figure in the French luxury and global decorative arts scenes throughout the years. One of the only designers who uses totally hand-painted patterns rather than printed ones is Marie Daage. The end product is superb Limoges porcelain with hand-painted designs that are expressive and whimsical rather than the traditional, strict decorative themes.
